Why Doesn’t my Sleeve Slide Well?
Before use, condition your shaft with the QuicSlick™ Shaft Maintenance System OR have your shaft professionally cleaned. With exclusive use of The Sleeve, you should not need to professionally clean your shaft again.
Hold The Sleeve lightly with your bridge hand.
Disassemble and wipe The Sleeve and your shaft with a damp cloth to remove any built up chalk as needed.
How can I prolong the life of the QuicSlick’s films?
There are two ways. 1. Use a dry Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (without embedded chemicals) initially to get the bulk of the chalk and skin oils off the shaft before using the QuicSlick™ films. 2. Lighten up on how hard you squeeze the burnishing block.
Are the QuicSlick™ films reusable?
Yes. We recommend cleaning them before re-use
Will The Sleeve scratch my stick?
No, not at all. We have been testing the prototypes since March 2014 on our own sticks and others without any scratches or damage at all. In fact, the Sleeve will help to keep the shaft smooth and clean. There may be a slight sound that is the result of rubbing on the shaft. It does not scratch it or damage it. We would not offer a product that damages your shaft as we would be out of business just as soon as we started it.
What Size Shaft Does The Sleeve Fit?
The Sleeve works best with a 12mm ferrule or greater.
Do I have to use all 3 different grits of films?
No. We supply you with 3 different grits because we don’t know the condition of your shaft when you buy the QuicSlick™ Shaft Maintenance System. We recommend going through the 3 steps initially. It’s likely that all you’ll need to maintain your shaft, after the 3 steps, is to use the fine yellow films. These are so fine they don’t really remove any wood at all.
How do I clean the films before re-use?
A. There are two good methods: (See our Tips & Tricks videos.)
- Use a dry Mr. Clean Magic Eraser (without any embedded chemicals).
- Use a stiff brush while running under water.
